Winter 2018/2019 Style Guide

Is anyone else totally awestruck that it’s already November? Starbucks has come out with its holiday drinks, stores are sharing their holiday lines, and I’ve seen at least ten posts about Christmas decorations on Instagram already. I really can’t believe it; the entirety of fall (and my last quarter at school) has absolutely flown by!

But with the winter season comes winter fashion. Transitioning from fall to winter is always pretty simple and a lot of my fall favorites will be sticking around for the colder months with added layers. From prints to track pants to faux fur, here’s the winter fashion I’ll be wearing this year.

Plaid

Wear It With: Solid layering pieces or coordinating separates in the same checked print.

Chunky Sweaters

Wear It With: Try it tucked into an a-line skirt or over skinny jeans or leggings.

Ankle Boots

Wear it with: Everything! Ankle boots can be dressed up or down.

A-Line Skirts

Wear it with: Chunky sweaters, tights, and boots – I highly recommend over-the-knee boots with mini skirts for added warmth!

Track Pants

Wear it with: Sneakers, a tee shirt and a leather jacket. Or, fully embrace the athleisure trend and pair it with a comfy sweatshirt and athletic shoes.

Faux Fur

Wear it with: Everything! As an outer layer, faux fur can be a fashionable substitute for your bulky winter jacket or an added layer of warmth underneath a parka.

Sneakers

Wear it with: Everything! Sneakers are an easy shoe choice for practically any outfit and pair especially well with track pants.

Accessories

Wear it with: Hoop earrings and big sunglasses go with everything, but I love pairing big belts with high-waisted pants and skirts.
