Skull Makeup Tutorial

Today’s tutorial is another Halloween-themed look. I love skull makeup; it’s so intricate and beautiful (but still scary!). This look also combines the best of both worlds: it’s creepy on the bottom, but glam up top. I had a ton of fun creating this look, and I hope you have fun if you decide to try it out. Check out my skull makeup tutorial below!

Skull MAKEUP TUTORIAL

1. Apply regular foundation and eyebrow/eye products as desired.

I wanted a super glam smokey eye, so I used Bitter (crease, lower lashline), Deadbeat (outer corner, crease, lower lashline), and Delete (outer corner) from the Vice4 palette and Virgin (lid, inner corner) from the Naked palette. I topped it off with wing liner using my Perversion waterproof eye pen. Finally, I applied COTU DW lashes and applied mascara to my lower lashes.

2. Create skull shape.

Using a white eyeliner pencil, trace along the lower half of your face to create your skull shape. Fill in with white cream makeup, leaving your cheekbones bare (these will be filled in later). Blend lightly with a makeup sponge and set with translucent powder.

3. Create nose and fill in cheekbones.

Using black cream makeup, create a nose shape and fill in. Then, fill in your cheekbones from your ear to about halfway to your mouth. Set with translucent powder.

4. Sketch teeth.

Sketch teeth using white cream makeup (I made mine pretty big so I could go over them with detailing later).

5. Add detail.

Using a thin angled brush, trace around the teeth with black cream makeup. Then, create ridges on the “bone” above the teeth, below the teeth, and under your eyes.
