Outfit of the Moment // June 2016

Recently, my go-to outfit has featured soft pants. These are flowy pants with a drawstring or elastic waist that look great with all types of tops. Structured shirts, flowy blouses, fitted tanks, crop tops – you name it, and it could probably be styled with a pair of soft pants. Soft pants also come in a variety of fits: flare, jogger and wide-leg (also known as palazzo pants) are the most popular options. No matter your body type, you can find a pair of soft pants that you love to wear.

The versatility of soft pants is definitely the biggest draw. Like I said, they look great with any fit of shirts, but they can also be dressed up or down (see: pajamas). I actually wear mine to work with a nice tank top and heels, and no one is any the wiser.

Since I’ve been wearing my palazzo pants so frequently, I thought they would be the perfect piece to feature in my June Outfit of the Moment.

What I’m Wearing
Sold Out H&M Tank Top, similar here H&M, $7.99 // Wide Leg PantAerie, $39.95 // Strappy SandalAmerican Eagle, $29.95

I wear this tank top with pretty much everything, but it the hem is a little bit too short to wear with certain pants. So I was so excited when my palazzo pants were high-waisted enough to wear with it. I also just got the sandals and they’re surprisingly comfortable, even with the strap wrapping around the big toe.

There are tons of options if you’re looking to find a pair of soft pants. Here are a few that I love (some of which I own, some of which are just on my wishlist!).
