Happy Monday! This week, I’m finally introducing a post that I’ve wanted to do for quite some time: Makeover Mondays!
I’m of the opinion that everybody is beautiful, inside and out. Take my younger sister, Paige, for example (she’s the subject of today’s post!). She has the biggest smile and the most sparkling eyes. And even though we don’t always get along, she’s an amazing sister and such a kind person. See what I mean? Beautiful on the inside and the outside.
But there’s absolutely nothing wrong with using makeup to enhance the beauty that’s already there.
So Paige asked me to do her makeup for a night out with friends. The two of us are pretty much polar opposites when it comes to makeup, so she wanted a very light, neutral application that made her eyes pop and her tan stand out. Check out the before and after!
What I Used
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow brow pomade in Ebony – Sephora, $18
Urban Decay Vice4 Eyeshadow Palette – Urban Decay, $39 (Delete used all over the lid and blended out into the crease with Bones. I also used Bones on the inner corner to brighten it up)
Sephora Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner in Black – Sephora, $12 (Applied to lower waterline and tightlined on the upper lashline)
bareMinerals Lash Domination Mascara – Sephora, $19
Nyx Extra Creamy Lipstick in B52 – Nyx, $4
Now for a side by side.
I think this comparison really shows the difference a tiny bit of makeup can make. The neutral lipstick makes her huuuuge plump lips stand out and just a bit of added definition to her eyebrows frames everything really well and brings the whole look together.
I hope you enjoyed the first-ever Makeover Monday – I’m excited to do more of these posts in the future. I hope your week is starting off well!
