I want to start this post off by saying thank you to everyone who stopped by in the past few weeks. Even though I’ve been MIA, it means so much to see that I still have readers. I know I’ve been slacking on content, but there’s a good reason for it: I’ve been in the process of getting ready for my sophomore year! Believe me, I know it’s no excuse to not post, but move in is insane.
Now, on to today’s Makeover Monday. Mollie is one of my sister’s really good friends, so she let me do her makeup for a night out a little while back. The difference between her and my sister, though, is that Mollie will let me do way more fun makeup stuff (I still love you, Paige). She has these gorgeous green eyes that I really wanted to play up, so I was excited that she was game for a heavier eye. I also love her freckles, so I wanted those to shine through.
Since I wanted the focus to be on her eyes, I rimmed the entire eye in black kohl liner and smudged it out with Delete from the UD Vice4 palette. But because Mollie has hooded lids, I didn’t want her eyes to get lost in the liner. To avoid this, I used Bitter from the UD Vice4 palette in her crease, both to make her eyes look more open and to make the green in her eyes pop. Mollie also has really bold brows, so I just lightly filled in sparse patches to completely frame her eyes.
We kept the rest of her look really natural, using my favorite tinted beauty balm from Too Faced and a tiny bit of bronzer. For the lips, we went with a slightly darker version of her natural color to pull everything together.
